Single Stream Recycling
This term applies to the commingling of different recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, metal, plastic, and glass. Food waste must be cleaned off of these materials. Food waste and contaminated materials are not recyclable under this category. Please see the organic waste disposal section for further information on food waste recycling.
Cardboard recycling includes old cardboard boxes and craft paper. They must not contain any food waste.
Mixed Paper Recycling
Mixed paper recycling includes old cardboard boxes, white paper, magazines, newspaper, and junk mail. Paper and cardboard contaminated with food waste is not recyclable.
All types of recycling is serviced by either 95 gallon totes, small containers from 2 yards to 10 yards, or roll-off compactors, depending on volume.
